Cumbia Machin is a project based out of San Diego, CA that started in 2010 by Joaquin Hernandez with a Zendrum and a Sampler. The project fuses Afro Colombian rhythms, live electronics and samples.

The Zendrum used by Joaquin is a midi controller that allows him to play the drums with only his fingers. In 2005 the Neurological Disorder called Focal Dystonia forced Joaquin to stop playing the drum set due to the loss of wrist control. Previous to the Dystonia band projects included Chicken Farm, B-Side Players, Sol Power and Agua Dulce. The 2010 Cumbia Machin "Esuper Cumbia" CD release Included Musicians Paul Lopez, Luis Cuenca and Pete Ortega.
